One might wonder why; it's largely because these smartphones tend to be poorly made, and end up costing a ton for repairs or replacements. If electronics manufacturers could work together to fix this problem and simplify the warranty process, we could see marked growth in their business and that of other businesses that depend on these devices. Laptops are also more likely to break than most other devices, making repairs difficult and expensive. They're also far more likely to have poor build quality, poor design, and very limited upgrade options.
